Will China's Reforms Impact FOCAC?

The Africa Institute of South Africa published in February 2016 a policy brief titled "Will China's Reforms Impact FOCAC?" by Yazini April, a research specialist at the Africa Institute of South Africa.

The author concludes that it is critical for Africa to be cautious and take time to analyze the implications and real benefits of China's Africa policy in light of its structural adjustment reforms. China is advancing global ambitions that are not necessarily tied to Africa's development. The onus is on African governments to establish their own policies that represent the continent's interests.
