London-based Justice Africa published in July 2016 a study titled "Violence Begets Violence: Justice and Accountability for Sexual and Gender-based Offences in South Sudan" by Alicia Elaine Luedke.
Drawing on in-depth interviews and focus-group discussions with about 360 research participants in Juba, Mingkaman, and Akobo, this report clarifies some of the oft-noted assumptions about sexual and gender-based violence in South Sudan's conflict.
