Al-Shabaab Steps Up Attacks

World Politics Review published on 5 June 2014 an article titled "With World Focused on Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab Steps Up Offensive" by Kathy Gilsinan.  In late May, al-Shabaab carried out two suicide attacks on the same day.  One occurred at the Parliament building in Mogadishu and the other killed three persons in Djibouti, which has troops in Somalia as part of AMISOM.
